Aeonium

Aeoniums are known for their stunning, symmetrical rosettes and vibrant colors. These low-maintenance succulents add a touch of drama to any space, making them perfect for beginners and plant enthusiasts alike.

☀️ Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun. Too much harsh sun can cause leaf scorching, especially in hot climates.

💧 Water: Unlike most succulents, Aeoniums enjoy slightly more moisture—water when the top inch of soil is dry, especially during active growth. Reduce watering in summer dormancy.

🌎 Soil: Thrives in well-draining soil. Use a succulent or cactus mix (Malibu Compost Potting Soil, Uni-Gro Cactus Mix) to prevent root rot.

🥫 Fertilizer: Feed lightly during the growing season with a diluted succulent fertilizer (Espoma Cactus! 1-2-2) for healthy growth and vibrant color.

Fun Facts:

🌿 Unlike many succulents, Aeoniums have a winter growing season and go dormant in summer heat.

🌈 Their colors can change dramatically based on light exposure—greens, purples, pinks, and even deep reds!

🌺 Mature Aeoniums can produce stunning flower stalks before the rosette dies—don’t worry, pups often grow to take their place!

🏝️ Native to the Canary Islands, Aeoniums are built for coastal climates but adapt well to drier landscapes.
